Antique Edwardian 9ct gold brooch featuring a beautiful claw set purple amethyst gemstone with three white seed pearls surrounded by a flower design. On the back of the brooch is has the hallmark '9ct', the piece secures with an open 'c' clasp.
Amethyst is the birthstone of February, it signifies peace and serenity. Seed pearls in the Victorian era were associated with a number of symbols such as innocence, purity, humility and harmony.
